With a wealth of history from its beginnings as a fishing village, find out more at the Bognor Regis Museum. It has a wealth of informative displays as well as a large collection of vintage radios and equipment. As the area has a Roman past, it's no wonder that Roman remains have been discovered.

The Fishbourne Roman Palace, near Chichester, houses the remains of a palace that is the largest residential Roman building discovered in Britain.

Bignor Roman Villa is another Museum well worth a visit. The large Roman courtyard villa which has been excavated and put on public display, houses some of the highest quality mosaic floors, which are some of the most complete and intricate in the country.

Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre, situated in Amberley near Arundel and the South Downs, is an open-air industrial heritage museum which is dedicated to preserving the industrial heritage of the South East. Set in 36 acres, there is lots to explore with over 40 exhibits to see. The Milne Electricity Collection houses domestic appliances from days gone by. A great place for Grandparents to show their grandchildren how it was in their day.

Also located in the South Downs near the village of Singleton, The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, is a living museum set in some 40 acres with over 50 historic buildings dating from 950AD to the 19th century.
