Open up walkways on Roman way

Clear the green area on Roman way south of Sunningdale Gardens, creating a pleasant walking route along the Rife, linked up with the brooks to create a circular route that is almost free of roadways. This would benefit wildlife in the area, control pests and help with floodwaters by channeling the rife more.

Bike Pump track

Purpose built top spec pump track/ tracks built on west park.
Would not encroach a great deal on open space.
There could be scope for bike shop for rentals, repairs sales etc which would give an opportunity for new local businesses.

Amphitheater

Amphitheater with sail type canopy so it can be used year round, have free cabarets throughout the summer in the evenings like holiday resorts have with a variety of acts. Can also be used for payed attractions. Incorporate snack bar and gift shop.
The larger presence of families on the seafront will also reduce anti social behaviour. It will also benefit other local businesses/traders.

Toilet cubicle for the disabled

Install a toilet cubicle for the disabled, at ground level, behind the sunken toilets in Waterloo Square
The power and plumbing can be linked to the existing sunken toilets - so easy installation.

Public Toilets

Reinstate public toilets in Marine Park together with a cafe

Recycling in Town Centre

There is little-to-no access for visitors to the town centre to recycle any rubbish that they have. There should be access to recycling bins throughout the town centre, as well as active encouragement for people to use them correctly. As household recycling in the area is mixed, it would not be necessary to have sorted recycling bins in the town, so it would be possible to convert existing bins into 'double' normal waste and recycling bins.

London Rd/High St. Safety

Make the London Road/High Street junction safer.

The paving at the end of London Road means that the pedestrianised area is not differentiated from the bus route. The attached photograph shows how the paving continues across the boundary of the footpath on the High Street straight into the road. There is a lack of visual and textural differentiation between where is "safe" and where is "unsafe". This can be a particular issue for the visually impaired and also for children.

Various Pedestrianisations

Pedestrianise:
- also to Buses that part of High Street already pedestrianised to cars, divert them along Belmont Street, stops at Regis Centre
- Western side of Waterloo Square creating walk from Hothamton to Esplanade

Releases that part of High Street for markets, open air music etc
